Submission Guidelines

Ca-PRI 2027 brings together the international cancer and primary care research community to share research across the spectrum, from bold, emerging ideas to research that is transforming practice


We welcome abstracts spanning the cancer pathway, including prevention, detection and diagnosis, treatment and survivorship, and reflecting the breadth of cancer and primary care research taking place internationally.


Submission guidelines

  • Maximum 400 words
  • Include the title, authors and affiliations, clearly identifying the presenting author.
  • Oral, lightning talk and poster abstracts must include:
  • Background
  • Aim
  • Methods
  • Results
  • Implications for practice/policy.
  • Workshop and symposium abstracts must include:
  • Background
  • Aim
  • Session outline
  • Intended outcomes.
  • Select your preferred presentation format when submitting. The Scientific Committee may offer an alternative format.
  • Presenting authors must register for and attend Ca-PRI 2027 in Exeter, 19-21 April 2027 if accepted.
  • Submission deadline: 2 November 2026.


Presentation formats

Oral presentation — 10 minutes - Present your research to a wide audience, followed by a short period for questions.


Lightning talk — 3 minutes - A concise and dynamic way to share your research or ideas, with a short period for questions.


Poster presentation - A printed poster displayed in the dedicated poster area, with opportunities for informal discussion and networking. (A0 size, portrait orientation: 84.1 × 118.9 cm)


Workshop — 45 minutes - An interactive session designed to engage delegates in discussion, shared learning or collaborative problem-solving. Proposals should outline the purpose, how participants will be involved and the intended outcomes.


Symposium — 60 minutes - A coordinated session bringing together multiple speakers to explore a common research topic, question or theme from complementary perspectives. Proposals should outline the overall focus, each speaker’s contribution and how the presentations form a coherent session.
