Welcome to Ca-PRI 2027 in Exeter
The Cancer and Primary Care Research International (Ca-PRI) Conference focuses research across the spectrum, from bold, emerging ideas to research that is transforming practice. It brings together leading and emerging researchers, healthcare professionals, patients and public contributors, policymakers and partners from across the world.
In addition to cancer detection and diagnosis in primary care, Ca-PRI 2027 will showcase research from across the cancer pathway, including prevention, treatment and survivorship.
Ca-PRI 2027 will showcase research at every stage, from emerging ideas and new approaches to established research that is transforming practice. We welcome contributions from researchers at all career stages, creating opportunities to share new thinking, learn from work making an impact, and connect across the international cancer and primary care research community.

Professor Peter Sasieni
Professor of Cancer Epidemiology, Centre Co-Lead for the Centre for Cancer Screening, Prevention and Early Diagnosis Professor
Professor Peter Sasieni is an internationally recognised leader in cancer prevention, screening and early detection. He is Professor of Cancer Epidemiology at Queen Mary University of London, Co-Lead of the Centre for Cancer Screening, Prevention and Early Diagnosis, and Director of the Cancer Research UK Cancer Prevention Trials Unit.
With a distinguished career spanning mathematical statistics, epidemiology and clinical trials, his research has made important contributions to the evidence base for cancer screening and prevention. He leads major national studies evaluating new approaches to cancer detection, including the NHS-Galleri trial and the CRUK–NIHR-funded BEST4 platform.
He is a Fellow of the Academy of Medical Sciences and was awarded the 2023 Don Listwin Award for Outstanding Contribution to Cancer Early Detection, recognising his significant contribution to advancing the field.

Join us in Exeter, in the heart of South West England, for Ca-PRI 2027.
Exeter combines excellent national and international connections with easy access to some of the UK’s most spectacular coast and countryside.
The city is just over two hours from London by direct train, with Exeter Airport providing connections to a range of UK and European destinations.
Beyond the conference, delegates can explore the historic city of Exeter and enjoy easy access to Dartmoor National Park, the South Devon coastline. Explore further to the beaches and surf of North Devon and across the South West in Cornwall.

Cancer Research UK Early Diagnosis Conference
Manchester, UK | 18-19 May 2027
The Cancer Research UK Early Diagnosis Conference focuses on how evidence can be translated into action. It brings together researchers, industry partners, policymakers and health system leaders to accelerate progress in earlier cancer diagnosis.
Topics include optimising screening programmes, improving cancer recognition and referral in primary care, implementing changes to diagnostic services, and translating innovation into practice.
The conference provides a platform to showcase epidemiology, implementation science and behavioural science expertise, while fostering discussion on how evidence can drive policy and practice change across the UK.
